The Terminal

.. what started as a somnolent afternoon, ended as an amazing memory!

The story dates back to my last year days at JSS. It was a warm afternoon and I woke up at my usual time. After I was done with my daily tasks, I was like "Now what?"

Final year days were full of "vellapanti". The moment I used to wake up I thought why in the first place I woke up ? That day I decided to watch some random movie. I chose a movie from my friend's system named "The terminal".

I knew nothing about the movie. Actors, plot nothing ! I was gambling my time, which I had in abundant amount. As the movie started I saw Tom Hanks in cast. I was thrilled.. my favourite actor ! "Chalo ab sahi hai", I thought and began to watch it further. The movie was so smooth and story so gripping that I started living it !

After two hours of awesome experience I was sure it has become one of my favourite movies. But what blew my mind away came when the movie was ending. The casts rolled and it showed that the movie was directed by no one else but "Steven Spielberg".

I... was taken !

Evil.. evil that is necessary

Madara Uchiha

It was war.. it was war that made great Ninja nations to fraternize.. to fraternize against evil.. against evil named Madara Uchiha.. Madara, who had enough resources to spread iniquity and injustice throughout the world.. the world that was divided, full of "easy-to-conquer" battling nations.. the nations, which then united for attaining peace, for fighting evil.. the evil that was necessary.

...(Reel life example: Naruto)

It was war.. it was war that made foes and taciturns allies.. to ally against Axis powers.. Axis powers that had Italy, Japan and Germany.. Germany that was controlled by evil fuhrer.. fuhrer whose name was Adolf Hitler.. Hitler, who had unconscionable plans to destroy all western powers, who was paragon of misanthropy, who was evil.. evil that was necessary.

...(Real life example: World War 2)

For progress, we need imperfection.. for an 'early-bright', we need a night full of darkness.. for genesis, we need disaster.. for good to prevail, we need evil to rise.

P.S. I sometimes become too emotional/philosophical after watching Naruto.. Naruto, my hero :)

You are just five videos away from being a genius at Tennis

Ok.. I admit that the title is misleading because even after watching all these videos m still playing horrifying tennis but reading further is no harm for sure.

It was July 7, when an idea of playing lawn tennis creeped in my mind. In no time, I and my friend Anup rushed and bought two tennis rackets of 'Head'. Just after one hour of play it was clear to us that we suck at this big time !! Serving in correct court or executing a two handed back hand were like distant dreams, we couldn't even grip our rackets properly.

So, to alleviate my pain I planned to learn tennis online.. yeah m an IT guy :P. The next day I went through plethora of videos and found the below ones quite simple, straight and educative. Watch and learn, but please don't become complacent, we still need a hell lot of practice (please note that I have already confessed about the title :P)

First Video: The grip

Second Video: The forehand

Here's a nice example in slow motion: Andre Agassi

Third Video: The backhand

Here's a nice example of two handed backhand in slow motion: Serena Williams

.. and a one handed backhand by Tommy Haas

Fourth Video: The volley

Fifth Video: The Serve

Here's a nice example in slow motion: Andy Roddick

A raindrop...
